Biography:
David Forbes is not just a DJ but one of the UK's most versatile music producers, whether its producing house music for the likes of SUBLIMINAL RECORDS , Debunk Records , Whoop Records, Trance music for Labels such as ARMADA , FIVE AM , VANDIT, MONSTER TUNES , and SILICON RECORDS. There’s really no boundaries to David’s production talents.
With a career spanning almost 15 years David is by no means new to the music industry and its pitfalls!!
From his Apprenticeship in the early rave days David has become a household name in the Dance music Fraternity.
By the time he was 22 David had established himself as an international DJ through his productions in the early 90s on the massive Combined Forces label in Holland, this success led him to have regular slots at the enormous combined forces parties in The Hague for 20,000 people. David has DJed at some of the biggest clubs and parties in - Holland, Switzerland, Ibiza, Austria, UK Ministry of Sound, Homelands, Inside Out, Coloursfest, had 7 interstate tours of Australia since 2000, including headlining the Utopia party in the Sydney Superdome for 20,000 party people.
Subliminal Records USA, Vandit Records, Armada, Whoop Records, Silicon Records Dosordie, Serious Records / Universal, Eve Records, Limbo Records, Xtravaganza Records, Monster tunes, Central Station (AUS), Fenology the legendary Noom Records, the list goes on...
In 2000
David released his most popular track to date with his summer smash ''Questions'' must be asked on Serious Records / Universal / Vandit, it was championed by Judge Jules for 8 weeks running on his Radio 1 show and was getting plays from every top international DJ in the world, if this wasn’t enough at the same time he was part of public Domain who had the million selling single Operation Blade.
In 2002 along with long time friend and fellow producer Mallorca Lee, David eventually set up his own Labels Debunk Records and Red Monkey Records along with his website www.Debunkmusic.com and to date both Labels are reaching there 10th release, which in this digital age is a major feature in its own right. With his Debunk label he concentrated on his Scanners Guise and collaborated with the likes of Steve Lawler, Mike Monday, Deepgroove, and Oliver Moldan, He achieved 2 Balance Chart USA no 1s one after the other. With the likes of Erick Morrilo, Roger Sanchez, Steve Lawler, Paul Oakenfold, Marco V, as consistent supporters the label just grows from strength to strength.
With Red Monkey Records, David has concentrated on more of the big room trance and tech trance sounds, he released his long awaited follow up to his massive ''Questions'' track ''Answers'' which made DJ Tiesto's first live DVD extravaganza and to date is still selling 3 years after its release. Other artists on the label are Mark Sherry and Signalrunners, also reaching its 10th release.
