Fast Distance
Genre: Trance
Biography:
Franz Hlusek aka Fast Distance is one of the most popular producers in Belgium after being heralded by Armin van Buuren as “one of my favourite trance artists.”

He was taking music lessons at a very early age. Due to his quick musical development and growing inspiration, Franz’ parents bought him his first keyboard when he was eleven years old.

Instantly drawn to the trance sound when it emerged in Belgium in the nineties, he started mixing tracks together using his father’s hardware and performing at various events.

When he turned 18 he bought a synthesizer and turntables, and soon after started building a professional studio to engineer and record his own productions.

After nearly 2 years of hard work his career took off in 2007 after his productions were signed by labels such as Armada Music, Vandit, Monster Tunes, and Baroque.

Franz’ tracks have been supported by some of the biggest djs in the world including Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Ferry Corsten.

His interest in electronic music also expresses his love for performing as a DJ and he has had a lot of events in places such as the United Kingdom and Europe. In the meantime he was asked to provide a guest mix for the internationally popular Trance Around The World radio show, presented by the British Trance trio, known under the stage name “Above & Beyond”. He did also a guest mix and interview for the well known Paul Van Dyk's Vonyc Sessions.

Franz currently hosts his own radio show on Afterhours.fm and is collaborating on new productions with Roger Shah and Fred Baker.
