Signalrunners - ‘These Shoulders’ out now!
Slightly edgier and deeper than your typical modern day trance release, ‘These Shoulders’ is a track that makes you sit up and take notice.
Signalrunners’ Alan Nimmo and Andrew Bayer have teamed up with Julie Thompson for the follow-up to their last release ‘Electric Sheep’.
‘These Shoulders’ is built on a stunning dark and brooding backing track with vocals from Julie Thompson, whose distinct voice you may recognise from Tiesto’s ‘Somewhere Inside’, released under his alias ‘Allure’.
Throughout August, Armin van Buuren has been hammering ‘These Shoulders’ on his weekly ‘A State of Trance’ radio show, and last Thursday he named the Oliver Smith remix ‘tune of the week’.
Through his haunting interpretation of the riff, Oliver Smith infuses the record with a spellbinding beauty, making for a lighter remix, while Paul Wicked makes more of the vocals with his echoing, twisting take on the track, but it’s the club mix which is being played out on dancefloors everywhere.
